National Inter-pool 2019: Olympic Biwong Bane bows out after two defeats

The representatives of the South Region have become the first team team to striped off hopes of qualifying for the professional league two next season.

The hopes of Olympic Biwong Bane were dashed after rehabilitated Volcan du  Noun suffocated them with a 2-0 defeat on Tuesday August 27.

Coach Ondoua Edea and his boys had earlier suffered a 2-0 in the tournament opener against AS Dibamba.

"We are a young academy of just three years old and we had the opportunity to represent the South.  We are not totally disappointed because this gave us the opportunity to learn and prepare for the next edition. We didn't have time to prepare because our players had to get involved in holiday competitions. We will prepare and face Ngoundere FC in the right way to protect the image of the South region." Ondoua Edea told Hilltopvoices.

According to Coach Sylvain Njoya, the legal issues concerning his club did not however destabilised Volcan du  Noun. "I told my players that let them not worry themselves with issues of the administration. They should concentrate and do their job as players and I think that is what kept the morale of the players high." He said

While Volcan FC prepares to play against AS Dibamba during their next outing before the reprogrammed game against Ngoundere FC, Olympic Biwong Bane will be preparing for their farewell game against Ngoundere FC.

Volcan du Noun and AS Dibamba share the top seat in Pool A after the 3pts three goals of Ngoundere FC were withdrawn as a result of the elimination Riziere FC who they defeat 4-1 on day One of the Pool
