The 9th ordinary convention of the
Social Democratic Front SDF has opened in Bamenda yesterday amidst timid
resumption of economic activities. Just like the banners that carried a
different location signaling uncertainty, so too was the city in the early
hours of the morning.
While many wondered what the day was going to look like
following threats from apologists of the Ambazonia regime to the SDF and a call
for ghost towns, taxis and commercial motorbikes could be seen hitting the road
why shop owners looked-on doubting whether they should open or not. Before it
was midday only commercial motorbike riders and taxis could be seen as shops
were completely locked.
