FECAFOOT Elections: Commission confirms No Divisional Board members nor Delegates for NW Regional Assembly

By Bakah Derick

The electoral commission of the Cameroon Football Federation FECAFOOT has published the list of candidates running for various positions as board members and delegates from the Divisional Leagues to the Regional Assembly.

The list of candidates was made public at night fall on Friday September 10, 2021 carrying names of those whose documents have been validated by the commission and given the green light to run for their office of choice.

According to the list signed by the five members of the electoral commission headed by M. Gilbert Schlick as President, nine regions of Cameroon are concerned by the divisional elections but for the North West that has no divisional representation. The region is not mentioned anywhere in the decision that also goes ahead to disqualified some aspirants for diversed reasons meaning no one even applied from the region.

This emplies that, no one has postulated for either the post of President, first or second vice and even delegate to the Regional Assembly. In effect, the North West regional league general assembly will take place without divisional representation.
Earlier in August, a decision was published announcing clubs with the right to participate in the divisional assemblies and no divisional club was approved across the North West. This has been defended with unmatched excitement by the current regional league administration saying that there was no divisional league in the region despite contrary opinion. The end result is the validation of candidates for Divisional executive position with none for any division in the region.
