African Dream Network 2017 award: Achievers on call



A Bamenda Headquartered Non-Governmental Organisation has awarded some outstanding individuals and institutions for their achievements in 2017. The African Dream Network Achievers Award in its fourth edition gave the Chief Executive Officer of the network to encourage the laureates to continuously be at the service of the people through their various organizations and activities.

  “The choice for the award this year is based on merit. These are people men and women who have laid down their own very lives to serve the community. When you look at these people you will discover that apart from their professional lives, they are doing one or two things that is helping the person who is in need in the community or that is promoting something that has been neglected in the society for a very long time. It could be health, it could the needs of the orphans, it could be the need of some people who have been neglected for some social reasons. These people who have taken up those challenges to intervene in such cases! This is what merits them to have these awards.” Awah Micah said while expressing satisfaction with the high profile level of the event for this edition.

CBCHS receives Africa Dream Network Award
Prof Tih Pius Muffi Director of CBC Health Services his rigorous fight via various projects in the institution he heads against HIV/AIDs and the promotion of quality health in Cameroon. Receiving the award on behalf of Prof Tih Pius, Abanda Alphonse head of the Documentation Unit of the CBCHS maintained that the CBCHS has not been working to receive awards but to serve lives and provide better living conditions for all as they do God’s work. Abanda described the Award as an encouragement for the CBCHS to do more.  

Ntumfor Barrister Nico Halle for his “rigorous effort in the promotion of peace and stability in the society and Cameroon in particular.  On behalf of the laureate, Halle Augustine expressed satisfaction with the award indicating that his brother has taken the peace of this nation as his personal business thus describing the award as a way of encouragement for him to continue working towards peace in Cameroon. Ntumfor Nico Halle is a lawyer of uncommon compare, Member of Cameroon’s Commission for the promotion of bilingualism and multiculturalism, a multiple award winner, peace crusader and a convinced Christian member of the PCC. 

Shey Musa Nfor, Board Chairman of one of Africa’s largest Credit Union Networks; The Cameroon Cooperative Credit Union League CamCCUL, President  of the National Association of Microfinance Institutions in Cameroon ANEMCAM, Board Chairman of the Bamenda Police Cooperative Credit Union BAPCCUL amongst others was awarded for his contributions, exemplary leadership in the Microfinance sector in Cameroon and nation building.  He could not be at the award event but was represented by his wife.
Blue Pearl receives Africa Dream Network Award
Blue Pearl Hotel Bamenda awarded for quality and affordable services that meets the needs of the population of Bamenda. Managed by a well non hotel management expert Halle Augustine for the last six years, Blue Pearl is now a household name in Cameroon and beyond with several awards. The manager while receiving the award attributed the success his hotel this far to team work by his collaborators. 



HOFNA Director receives Africa Dream Network Award


Christelle Bay C Director HOFNA Cameroon. The Teacher and Banker was awarded for her continuous efforts in community development, extensive humanitarian activities to the needy, empowering of women and the girl child.  Celebrating her award on her Facebook page multiple award winner, wife and mother preferred to quote the event guest speaker saying African dream Achievers Award... "Just continue to be that difference that truly inspires young people. Continue to rise above every challenge... Do not work to be recognised - just work to create real meaning and a positive difference in the lives of the people you serve..." Such wise and motivating words from our beauty with brains Anrette Ngafor.

North West Cameroon: Remarkable Cultures I- The Nso People

They own, and with pride, use Lamnso (language of Nso) anywhere they are found.
