Speaking at the opening of the conference, The Rev Dr Fimba Felix Director of Evangelism and Missions for the CBC on behalf of the executive President noted that many churches have replaced the Bible with the casting of demons and other activities. He reminded the Ministers of their major rule which is to study teach and guide the word of God jealously.

While pointing out the growing depreciation in the relationship among Ministers, lack of love and discipline as serious worries facing the church, The Director exalted his colleagues to consider seriously the security problems facing the country.

“Talk less and pray more about Boko Haram….. Also pray for our brothers and sisters living and suffering in regions attacked by this group.”
On behalf of the executive president of the CBC, Rev Dr Fimba announced the commencement of an orientation program for new Field Pastors of the CBC. According to him many Pastors function out of the system after leaving seminary because they do not know the CBC well and consequently the need for orientation before they go to the field.

Talking to hilltopvoices many of the Pastors and Ministers attending the Fellowship said the experience is always very enriching and “hopefully this will be the same or better.”

The Fellowship Conference has as Theme: Cost of Intentional Strategic Discipleship. The workshop ends on Friday August 21, 2015
