NUDP Youth Leader Launches Re-organization in the Northwest Region with a “Big Catch”

REPORT

Dr Ndansi Elvis, National Youth President of Cameroon’s political party, the National Union for Democracy and Progress NUDP, was guest of honour in Momo Division, Northwest Region Saturday September 20, 2014. Accompanied by Maidadi, Central Committee Member of the NUDP, Dr Ndansi had as mission to ensure the smooth reorganization of the party’s basic organs that is the sub-section, Sections and Federations.
How it happened.
A group of youths with motorcycles, just like the elderly with cars received Dr Ndansi’s delegation at the gateway into Mbengwi, Ngyembo. Blasting their horns plus stylish display with their bikes, the youths lead their leader to the park in Mbengwi and other parts of Momo’s chief Town before settling for the town conference hall.
Visibly expressing signs of satisfaction, Mudeh Walters Chairman of the ad hoc committee of the Momo Federation thanked the NUDP hierarchy for choosing Momo to lay the foundation of the reorganization process. Mr Mudeh used the moment to announce turf times with no peace for Momo politicians who have transformed their administrative positions for personal benefits. He folded up with a remainder for the NUDP national President to complete his tour of Momo which he started during the 2013 legislative and municipal election.
In his usual firm style, a senior party official, Maidadi, member of the NUDP central committee, castigated the application of bilingualism in Cameroon. He wondered aloud with himself as an example how Cameroonians 50years after independence cannot be bilingual. According to Maidadi, it will take only the NUDP to give Cameroon its true sense of Bilingualism. While recognizing the arrival of many new militants to the NUDP, Maidadi himself a former militant of the SDF and APF observed that it was the first time in Cameroon that a truly young man is heading an important  organ of a political party in Cameroon like the young wing of the NUDP here referring to Dr Ndansi. To him, all parties with youth wings are headed my old people and not truly youths as they claim.

“Momo is the gate way to the Northwest Region”he started. Momo is the only division hosting the trans-Atlantic Road, with the best palm wine and palm oil. As everyone exploded in great joy he also noted that Momo is noted for discipline since they got they got the first ever prison in the Northwest. Of course there was no better way to take off than this as everyone in joy paid attention.   What makes the NUDP different in Cameroon? Dr Ndansi explained it is about the party’s believes in Nation building. Reiterating why the NUDP joined government, he said “the government is not for a political party” and so the party believing in nation building had to contribute its quarter. Citing the achievements of the NUDP national president as minister in various ministries, and his personal decision to takeoff his first public service assignment in Bakasi, Dr Ndansi maintained that all these is because of the party’s position on nation building.
In his commissioning words to the leaders of the basic organs of the party, the youth leader christened them “fishers of men”.
The high point of the day turned out to be the cross over from the APF to NUDP of former APF Councilor Tayong Jacob. It was with visible joy that Maidadi wore the party movlar on Comrade Tayong Jacob. In a reaction to Reporters, Comrade Tayong said he crossed over because the NUDP is realistic unlike his previous political party which said and wrote more than what they can do. He promised to work with his last energy to deliver the Mbengwi council to the NUDP.
