Bamenda III pupils get Books from ABC Foundation Via Council

It was a visibly group of satisfied elementary school teachers at the esplanade of the Regional delegation of Basic Education Northwest March 12, 2014 as they received books from the Mayor of the Bamenda III Sub-divisional Council Fongu Cletus Tanwe.

Explaining the origin of the books, the Mayor said "each time I travel out of the country i go for work not to sleep in hotels". "It was during one of these visit to the USA in 2012 that I met Bamenda boys in the US under a foundation called Abakwa Book Club (ABC)" he added. Conversations at this meeting ended  up in a partnership that paid off this faithful Wednesday in Bamenda.

Present in Bamenda to hand the books was ABC's Coordinator Achu Nyindem who said his organization takes interest in developing education back home. He also indicated that they will not be limiting their actions to Bamenda III and book donation only but will make an effort to extend to order areas of Bamenda as well as  order areas of need like health.
Receiving the books on behalf of the Cameroon Government Fon Suzan Regional Delegate for Basic education Northwest encouraged other Cameroonian sons and daughters in the diaspora to remember home like the ABC foundation. She saluted Mayor Fongu's effort of remembering the Basic education sector an area she says has a lot of needs.
