The Youth Wing of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (YCPDM) in Canada has congratulated President Paul Biya on his re-election as Head of State, describing the victory as a renewed expression of the people’s confidence in his leadership.
Meeting shortly after the announcement of results, YCPDM Canada executives said the outcome reaffirmed the nation’s faith in Biya’s vision of continuity, peace, and development.
Barrister Tanyi George, the movement’s coordinator, said the re-election reflected the people’s endorsement of Biya’s “enlightened leadership and national vision.” He added that members of the youth wing were “ready to walk with him for the next seven years with unshakeable determination.”
YCPDM Canada President Mr Emmanuel NtokoDr Alain, Secretary General of YCPDM Canada, highlighted the stability the president has brought to national life.
“President Biya represents progress and continuity,” he said adding “his achievements in education, infrastructure, and health are concrete. We stand firmly behind his new programme to make Cameroon even more prosperous.”
For the group’s treasurer, Mr Eyong Obi Martin, Biya’s resilience in steering the country through difficult times deserves recognition.
“He has stayed the course despite challenges. We commit ourselves to mobilise our members and resources to ensure his policies succeed,” he said.
Another member, Mr Ebot Job Ayuk, emphasised the confidence of young Cameroonians in Biya’s leadership.
“He has always placed youth at the heart of development policies. His commitment to peace and unity inspires us to keep working towards national progress,” he noted.
YCPDM adviser, Mr Jeff Fongo, described Biya’s experience as a key factor in maintaining Cameroon’s international standing.
“His new term offers continuity for the nation’s major projects and structural reforms,” he stated.
Speaking on behalf of the entire diaspora chapter, YCPDM Canada President Mr Emmanuel Ntoko said members abroad share the same enthusiasm as those at home.
“Cameroonians in Canada celebrate this democratic victory. We reaffirm our loyalty and readiness to support the President in building a strong, united, and prosperous Cameroon,” he declared.
The statements, delivered with evident unity and conviction, underscored the movement’s collective pledge to remain a driving force behind the ruling party’s agenda throughout the new seven-year mandate.
