A double from the penalty spot by Yong Sport Academy’s Captain and Player of the Month of July Kongnyuy Jude and a strike from Ojong Ekuri earlier were three clean goals good enough to continue making a bad situation worse for Tonnere Kalara Club TKC.
The match was a day 31 fixture of the professional league One that held in the Mankon-Bamenda municipal Stadium.

Coming into the game with practically nothing to lose or gain except honour, Tonnere staged an impressive show demonstrating at every minute the desire to get at least a point or more from Bamenda.

The first 45 minutes ended barren until Midfielder Ojong Ekuri fired in a cross from Moghou Ghislain that went past the TKC goalie Sokam Eugene.
A few minutes later Kongnyuy Jude converted a penalty into a goal after Moghou Ghislain was brought down in the inner box of TKC’s goal post. Just before full time, the stirker again converted another pernalty that put the score at 3-0 in favour of YOSA.

Though the hopes of getting a continental ticket have been dashed, the Bamenda team hopes to finish amongst the best five teams in the top flight league at the end of the season.

Three matches to go YOSA are already sure of staying on next season while TKC have been shown a marching order into the National Division Two league.

The win moves YOSA upward to the seventh position from the 10th while Tonnerre maintains the Benjamin position.
