According to the Governor much has been done by the Nkwen people and it is time Government supports them. On the spot he instructed the Regional delegate for Water and Energy Northwest to ascertain the state of need and the quality of the water project and report to his office soonest.

According to Muma Azehfor III deputy to the Fon of Nkwen, in the next ten days the water which has seen unprecedented community participation will be available for drinking in some parts of the village.  The water project has been described as a welcomed initiative particularly at the time getting water has been a major challenge in Bamenda.
