The dead of Sama Steve Publisher
Editor of the Cameroon Post International was announced Friday November 14,
2014 during the monthly meeting of Cameroon Association of English Speaking
Journalists CAMASEJ Northwest chapter. According to the meeting’s chair and
Publisher Editor of the Independent Observer Peterkings Manyong, Sama died on Thursday
November 13 after a prolonged illness. The meeting observed a moment of silence
with clear signs of sorrow particularly from those who worked with him closely
in other news rooms before his creation of the Cameroon Post International. The
industrious and dynamic Publisher is one of the few Bamenda based Journalists
who has given many hope in the profession looking at his person and achievements.
Though other colleagues hold the opinion that he was suffering from a kidney
problem, hilltopvoices cannot independently confirm this as we are still to get
access to his medical reports. No funeral programme has been made public but
there are signs Northwest Journalists will want to beat him farewell in fine
form as a decision was taken to contact the family immediately for the
arrangements.
