Northwest Regional 3rd Division champions
Grassland FC of Nkwen will this Saturday begin the Northwest Regional 2nd
Division Championship in the Bamenda municipal against legendary PWD Bamenda.
The choice of these two teams to launch the season according to the regional
secretary general for FECAFOOT NW Mr Kaba Christopher stems from the fact that
while Grassland FC of Nkwen finished the season as 3rd division
champions, PWD Bamenda played the finals of the 2nd Division
championship finals with Ngoketunjia FC which saw the later qualify for the
professional league II. With this background the game promises to generate a
lot of fireworks noting that both teams enjoy some relative financial stability
at this time. Though we are yet to get the names of those behind PWD Bamenda, unconfirmed
information reaching us say there is a player agent who is putting in the Cash.
