TUBAH COUNCIL RECEIVES NEW TOWN HALL

The Tubah Council will in the days ahead be transferring its services from the current site to the new one along the Bambui- Big Babangki road. The transfer which should be soonest follows the provisional reception Tuesday August 13, 2013. After a tour of the building(inspection) the supervisory and technical authorities from the Contractor through FEICOM, Public works handed over keys to the Mayor of Tubah SOFA Meji Stanislaus with a general call for him and his staff to jealously and responsibly protect and maintain the beauty of the 237million francs edifies.
The Fon of Bambui on-behalf of the Fons of Tubah Subdivision poured libations (a combination of Palm wine and calm-wood with incantations) with prayers for the "gods" of the land to "protect those who come in and go out of this Town hall. Those who come in with double intentions will harvest what they plant".
The Divisional Officer for Tubah Ngarba ALi while congratulating the workers( engineers and labourers) for a job well done he expressed the wish to see the Town Hall serve the purpose for which it was intended so as to accompany President Paul Biyas' dream of an emergent Cameroon by 2035.
Talking to Bakahonline, Moh David Regional Cheif of FEICOM (sponsor of the Project) for the Northwest Region said " the construction of Town Halls across Cameroon is part of Government Action to improve on the services offered by local government structures" He added that for him to have been at the provisional reception is indicative of the fact that the job is satisfactory.
Sofa Meji Stanislaus Mayor of the Tubah Council presented the Town Hall earlier with a mark difference from other council structures in the region with a multipurpose hall with a seating capacity of over 700places plus 27offices and the Mayor's cabinet. To the Mayor, The "large Town hall is to attend to the eventual needs of the growing University Town and to generate income for the Council".       
Erico and Bros Constructions as well as IAE received the applause of onlookers for a job well done.
