The Government has started paying compensation to land owners on the site expected to host the Bamenda Referal Hospital. The payments which started Friday March6, 2015 is taking place at the Nkwen Fons Palace. The hospital will be constructed in Ntabang a quarter in Nkwen.
According to the Paramount Fon of Nkwen HM Azehfor III who is amongst those overseeing the payments, The compensations are orderly paid with attention given to details to make sure everyone receives due payment and errors avoided.
Property owners in the area have been showing up to receive their compensations.
In an order made public Tuesday March 10, 2015, the Senior Divisional Officer for Mezam Nguelle Nguelle Felix says everyone who has received compensation should liberate the land soonest as work will be beginning in the days ahead.
