NBACA 2023: Nsah Edwin, Afanyu, Jato Sonita, Ghetto Prince, others pull off five star performances

By Bakah Derick  Over 20 musical artists drawn from the Northwest Region turned this year's New Breed Africa Celebrity Award (NBACA) event to an uncommon entertainment show.  From the quality of their songs to composure on stage, each one of them received thunderous applause from the huge crowd that field this year's event location.  Nsah, Afanyu, Jato and Ghetto presenting at NBACA 2023 Journalist and visual impaired Nsah Edwin with his infectious smile and agility placed him in a class of his own with his song 10frs Love...  The sensation of the moment Jato Sonita in her characteristic forest children dressing was phenomenal.  The very proud Wimbum boy Afanyu with his guitar and his outstanding vocal ability added extra energy to the event.  The Live performer Ghetto Prince was at it again. Peacebuilding: CAGEAD awarded for efforts in North West and South West Regions

Senatorial Elections 2023: They have packed their bags, others are gone

By Bakah Derick  On the 25 of March 2018, Seven Senators of the Social Democratic Front (SDF) were elected into office. Following Cameroon's constitution and Section 215 (3) of the country's electoral code, President Paul will later appoint three to take the regions tally to 10. Though 10 of them started the mandate, not all have finished. Agriculture: NWCA encourages next generation of coffee producers

The final year students from National Cooperative College Bamenda visited NWCA's Mile 3 Nkwen Head Quarters on Thursday 16 February as part of an academic field trip.  National Cooperative College students touring NWCA On hand to receive the students was the Administrator of NWCA. While reaffirming his institution's commitment to respect the partnership that unites them with the National Cooperative College, Mathew Ngangwa presented an overview of NWCA, the different structures from society to the apex organization NWCA. Disability Inclusion: After 13 years partnership with CBM, CBCHS-SEEPD launches phase two CBID Project

By Bakah Derick  The Socio-economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SEEPD) program of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services (CBCHS) has ended 13 years of partnership with Christian Blind Mission (CBM). A project closure event to celebrate 13 years of promoting disability inclusion held in Bamenda on Thursday 16 February 2023.  The event attended by mainly stakeholders of the program was an opportunity for the Director of CBCHS Prof Tih Pius Muffih to appreciate government services, local government agencies including Councils and the media for accompanying his institution in the last 13 years in the promotion of disability inclusion. Fundong: Council creates emergency disaster fund after market fire incident

By Bakah Derick   The Mayor of Fundong Council has announced the creation of an emergency Disaster Fund following a fire accident that occurred in the early hours of Friday 3 February 2023. The fund according to Denis Awoh Ndang  is intended to assist victims of the fire incident.  Fundong Market (photo credit Muam George)  "The general public is further informed that an emergency Disaster Fund to assist the victims of the fire disaster has been opened at the Fundong Council Chambers. The Fund is jointly managed by the Council and victims of the fire incident."
