Elite One Championship 2022: YOSA bags first trophy of the season

By Bakah Derick  Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) Bamend has grabbed the first trophy of the ongoing Elite One championship.  YOSA clinched the trophy from the Trade Union of Cameroon professional footballers known by its French acronym SYNAFOC in Douala on Friday 8 April 2022 as team captain Tegemo Emmanuel emerged player of the month of March 2022.  After scoring three wining goals in separate games, YOSA's Tegemo was arguably the most influential player of the period under review from amongst those shortlisted.  Tegemo Emmanuel was shortlisted alongside  Stephan ANIENKAM DJIEPNANG of FOVU of Baham,  Arnold PENKA CHIWENG of AVION ACADEMY of Nkam,  Yves Alain DOOH MOUKOKO of EDING SPORTS of the Lekie,  Jean Pierre ONANA MVOGO of the CANON Yaounde and  Joseph Vianney APAM MOJAHOUN of APEJES of Mfou.  The award has been christened the "David Mayebi player of the Month Award."   Former indomitable lion and influential member of SYNA

Elite Two Championship 2022: Rangers FC Bafut triumph away, Foncha Street FC stumbles on day two

By Bakah Derick  Rangers FC Bafut trumph away  Rangers FC Bafut has recorded an impressive win against Ngaoundere FC on Thursday 7 April 2022. Anumewa Franklin and his contingent humbled Ngaoundere FC before their own fans at home at the Ndoumbe Oumar football field 2-1.  Rangers FC led 2-0 at halftime with goals from Tabufor Ernest and Fuh Blaise Ndiforchu before Nagoundere FC pulled one back via Sabo Aboulahi from the penalty spot.  "Rangers FC of Bafut this afternoon beats Ngaoundere FC at the Stade Ndoumbe Oumar by 2#1. The team are 3rd in Pole B with 4 points." A post read on the team's Facebook page.  The win is the first for the team this season and the first ever in the second tier championship following her ascension in 2021. Bandjoun: COYAC unveils "pikin juju", "Nkwalèh" Night in plan, charms many

By Bakah Derick  The Executive Director of the Bamenda based youth centered not-for-profit nongovernmental Community Youth Arts Center (COYAC) has made public a series of activities to be carried by his organisation. Elite One championship 2022: PWD, YOSA head to day 7 from second spots

By Bakah Derick  PWD social football club of Bamenda and Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) shall be heading into day seven of the ongoing Elite One championship in Cameroon ranked second in their respective pools.  Enter PWD Bamenda  PWD Bamenda opened their account in fine-form in Limbe as they humbled YAFOOT FC 3-1. The Abakwa Boys though reduced to 10 after goalkeeper Sombang Eduard was red carded gave a good account of themselves at the centenary stadium; a venue some diehards call "home."  Before the first 45mins elapsed, "Ngia P" was already up by two thanks to a 10th minute own goal by John Efufa and John Paul Nzo Ngong 35'. Junior Mbeleck pulled back one at the 65th minute but that was not good enough against a "wild" PWD that needed just a win. Brilliant Awahmukala who will later emerge man of the match made matters worst for YAFOOT FC coming from his left back position to get the third for the Abakwa Boys at the 65th minute.

Parliamentary action: Hon. Agho Oliver makes sleeping comfortable for 77-Year-Old constituent

Agho Oliver has made an unusual donation intended to make sleeping or resting comfortable for a 77-year-old woman in Bafut subdivision part of his constituency.  Before was Mama Monica's bed and after is the new bed from Hon Agho Oliver.  The action on Sunday 3 April 2022 was the donation of a complete  bed to the woman who lost her husband some years back and has been living in a very bad condition lacking almost everything including where to comfortably sleep when the need arises. .  Mama Lum Monica, who lives in Njibujang- Bafut could not prevent tears of joy from flowing as she received her complete brand new bed. Elite One championship 2022: YOSA, PWD claim all six points for the North West on Match Day 5

By Bakah Derick It was another remarkable day for North West flag bearers in their year's top flight championship; the Elite One championship.  Yong Sports Academy (YOSA) remained unbeaten recording a fourth consecutive win. Toung Warren and Abena Mesina scored for Nkabyo Martin's battalion. According to a publication on the team's Facebook, Toung Warren replaced the team's lead scorer Tegemo Emmanuel held back by health concerns. Attempts by AS Fortuna to cancel YOSA's unbeaten record only produced a goal at the 70th through Anthony Kevin.
