The Governor of the North West Region has debunked claims on social media that curfew time across the region has been extended. In a document signed yesterday Lele L’Afrique Adolph Tchoffo Deben said “the restriction of movements of persons and goods within the North West Region has not changed and remains between 9pm and 5am contrary to the information circulated on the social media.” It should be noted that since Tuesday, information has been making rounds both from mouth to mouth and social media that curfew time in the North West has been extended from 6pm to 6am presumed to be from the office of the Governor. Though many doubted the information since it there was no release to that effect, many were prepared to begin respecting the embargo. The release from the governor which debunks the extension will like allow many to heave a sigh of relief though it is coming at the time Bamenda has witnessed a timid resumption of economic activity since Monday with only taxis
