Security meeting in Bamenda with Army Chief of Staff

A high-level security meeting has ended in Bamenda. The meeting that exceptionally had in attendance the Army Chief of Staff General Rene Claud Mika took place in the conference hall of the Governor of the North West Region. Though chaired by the Governor, the majority of the meeting attendees this Wednesday were high level security officials including General Aga’ah Robinson Ndong Commander of the 22 nd Motorized infantry Battalion. Hilltop Voices cannot however immediately provide details on the meeting but it is certainly not unconnected to the current crisis in the North West and South West regions. Bamenda Regional Hospital “moralizes” the fight against corruption

The administration of the Bamenda Regional Hospital has launched a fund to permit staffs that make money from illegal sources to be able to be able to refund the money to the hospital. Bamenda Archdiocese Contributes for the Displaced and Suffering in Mamfe

Bamenda Archbishop Catholic Christians in the Arcdiocese of Bamenda have made contributions to support the displaced and suffering population Mamfe. The collection which ran from Sunday January 28 to February 4 followed a circular letter from the Archbishop of Bamenda, His Grace Cornelius Fontem Essua appealing “for a collection to support the displaced population of the Diocese of Mamfe. CBCHS- SEEPD program enables Over 600 thousand with disability accessed medical services

The Socio-Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities SEEPD program of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services CBCHS has for the last eight years (2009-2017) enabled 624, 035 persons living with disabilities PWDs accessed medical services either to treat, prevent or rehabilitate their disability. The uncommon statistics were made public Tuesday February 6, in Bamenda during an event to present findings from an evaluation mission by the program funding partner CBM Australia.  SEEPD evaluation  The evaluation team of five led by the Senior Advisor-Program Quality of CBM Australia Julie Smith during the ten days evaluation mission had as objective to measure the degree to which the program has improve the wellbeing of PWDs by promoting inclusion in the Northwest region2015-2018 from . Presenting the findings, the team revealed that of the over 600 thousand who accessed medical services, 349, 460 of them that’s about 56% accessed medical care for the first time
