Another” CPP denies suspending party Organ

Following a previous report which we published stating that the Kah Walla led National Council of the CPP has been suspended by the Cameroon People Party CPP, a document has emerged on social media indicating that no CPP party organ has been suspended. The Cameroon’s People Party CPP has suspended the National Council of the party headed by 2011 presidential candidate, Social activist and entrepreneur Edith Kabang Walla. The decision which followed a restructuring meeting of the CPP party ahead of 2018 Presidential held in Bamenda last December 29 and made public via a press release January 24, 2018 in World Echoes Newspaper also orders the movement of the Secretary General, Chairperson Kah Walla and lieutenants to their various constituencies for Grass roots mobilization.  CPP suspends Kah Walla led National Council Amongst the resolutions arrived at during the meeting amongst others; the voting of Tamukong Roland Angong as the Secretary General and National Coordinator of the party, the rescheduling of the party’s national conference pending filling in of reports by al basic organs, the joining of all political actors in a frank and sincere dialogue to solve the Anglophone problem. Tongues wag as Pidgin news presenter is suspended in Bamenda

A popular pidgin broadcaster has been suspended from his duty in Bamenda by the National Communication Council NCC.  McChi (Peter Tebit Chi with Headphones) The three months suspension not backed by any document Tuesday January 23 saw the President of the NCC lead a delegation to Bamenda to ensure the sanction is effectively enforced and suspend the program which runs on weekdays from 4-5pm and another on Saturday morning on Radio Hot Cocoa. Peter Tebid Chi popularly called Mac Chi begins his three-month suspension for what the NCC describes as violating the ethics of the profession. Legendary South African musician Hugh Masekela died on Tuesday after a long battle with cancer, the South African government announced on its official Twitter page. He was 78.
