GCE Examinations begin in Bamenda

Thousands of students have begun writing the 2017 session of examinations organized by the General Certificate of Education GCE Board in Bamenda. The students grouped in some special centers hosted by some public schools stormed the examination centers this Monday June 12, 2017 visibly prepared to face the examination despite the difficulties in preparation due to the dampened socio political climate in the city and region by extension. Magazine for Women launched in Bamenda

By Bakah Derick  Ngobesing Neh Linda A magazine intended to handle exclusively women’s issues has been launched in Bamenda. “Determined Women on the Move” published by the SHE Platform Campaign being an initiative of Ngobesing Neh Linda a Journalist and advocate for girls and women’s rights was presented to an enthusiastic crowd of mostly women June 3, 2017.   As the name goes, the new magazine takes interest on the lives of women profiling some in the Judiciary like Justice Mbaki Vivian Verla President of the Mezam Hight Court, Peace building like Nfor Victorine Lum Ambe peace advocate, Education like Prof Atanga Lilian Lum HOD of English Private Law in the University of Bamenda, Zekeng Gayle Elsa in health and others in finance and banking, fashion amongst others. Ayaba Hotel seeks in-house use Bilingualism

By Edwana Ndong Itunghi  The Director General of Ayaba hotel has opined that it is necessary for his personnel to master the two National languages, so as to effectively carryout their jobs, by going into a partnership agreement with the Bamenda Regional linguistic centre. Speaking during the signing, Doume Zacharie called on his workers to take advantage of this partnership and strive to be bilingual Cameroonians. The agreement signing at Ayaba Hotel on Wednesday the 24 th of May was presided at, on behalf of the Northwest governor, by the secretary general at the Governor’s office, Lanyuy Harry.
