French Ambassador inaugurates Mbingo Out Patient department

The Mbingo Baptist Hospital MBH of the Cameroon Baptist Convention Health Services CBCHS created some 65 years as a leprosy center Wednesday July 6, 2017 was host to an uncommon visitor; The French Ambassador to Cameroon H. E Gilles Thibault. His visit to the now referral hospital receiving patients from all over Cameroon and beyond was greeted with song and dance by a visibly satisfied and enthusiastic crowd.  Amongst the many medical and social services being offered by MBH is the Outpatient and Inpatient services which according to the Director of CBCHS Prof Tih Pius Muffih “at the end of 2016 had a bed capacity of 295” for “ more than 100,000 patients with about 10,000 major and minor surgeries conducted.” The main reason for the Ambassador’s visit was to inaugurate a new Outpatient department. “With the completion of the new OPD where we are, these figures are certainly going to double or even triple in just a few years and this is thanks to the support of the Agence Fr

Oku Prince gets Royal treat at Deaconate Ordination

Rev Anselm Yofendeh a Prince of the Oku Kingdom in the North West Region of Cameroon is one of the ten Deacons to have been Ordained Thursday 29 June, 2017 in the St Joseph Metropolitan Cathedral Big Mankon Bamenda by the Auxiliary Bishop Micheal Meabisue BIBI.  The Prince attracted the attention of the thousands who braved the “kontri Sunday” stress to storm the cathedral during the presentation of candidates by their Rectors as he was accompanied by his father the Fon of the traditionally well-known and celebrated Oku to the alter where he was officially handed to the church.    Many Oku sons and daughters amongst them a traditional notables, elites and villages watched with admirable while others with disbelieve.   “This is very strange. NW MINADER Delegate warns farmers as mismanagement

North West Regional Delegate for Agriculture and Rural Development has warned farmers against the misuse of public funds. Joachim Metoh Mah was speaking in Bamenda Tuesday June 4, 2017 during the handing over of Cheques to farmers by the Programme for the Improvement of Competiveness of Family Agro-pastoral Farms, ACEFA.    According to the agriculture delegate public funds are not determined by the size but by the source. “Farmers should understand that when government mobilizes money to give them for a particular project, the project must be executed to its entirety. When they fail to do that, they are bridging the contract that they signed.
