TUBAH COUNCIL RECEIVES NEW TOWN HALL

The Tubah Council will in the days ahead be transferring its services from the current site to the new one along the Bambui- Big Babangki road. The transfer which should be soonest follows the provisional reception Tuesday August 13, 2013. After a tour of the building(inspection) the supervisory and technical authorities from the Contractor through FEICOM, Public works handed over keys to the Mayor of Tubah SOFA Meji Stanislaus with a general call for him and his staff to jealously and responsibly protect and maintain the beauty of the 237million francs edifies. The Fon of Bambui on-behalf of the Fons of Tubah Subdivision poured libations (a combination of Palm wine and calm-wood with incantations) with prayers for the "gods" of the land to "protect those who come in and go out of this Town hall. The Nkwen Cultural and Development Association NCDA Germany/Cameroon, The Bamenda III Council, The Nkwen Development Council, and some villagers have renovated and donated equipment to the Nkwen Integrated Health Center to the tune of about 10million francs. “POLITICS IN GOD’S NAME” NORTHWEST FONS UNION PRAY FOR PEACE

The Northwest Fons Union NOWEFU Friday 9 th August 2013 successfully moved Renee Emmanuel Sadii Minister of Territorial Administration and Decentralization from the Nation’s Capital Yaounde as personal representative of the Head of State Paul Biya to the Northwest Region for an ecumenical service.   The Bamenda Congress hall which was the ceremonial ground was jam packed ahead of the Prayer session. This inter religious prayer had to do with praying for peace in Cameroon before during and after the September 30, municipal and legislative elections. The Muslims and Christian denominations like the Roman Catholic Church, Baptist church, Presbyterian Church (PCC) and then the Full Gospel     had an opportunity to present the stands on peace related issues bearing on their guiding books and doctrine here the Quran and the Bible. TELE CENTERS how Important for Rural Cameroon?

The issue of Cameroon becoming an emerging country by 2035 has become another rhetoric that inundates people’s ears in Cameroon in almost every gathering whether political or not. The issue has become so serious that even in activities that have no lifespan or direct bearings on the daily lives of the people 2035 is the focus. The recent inauguration of Tele centers in the country and the region in particular is one of those steps taken by government en-route to 2035. But providing a tele center to a community with no roads, doubtful water and electricity supply, questionable health, educational, hygiene and sanitation facilities cannot go unnoticed. As to whether or not the people in rural areas need information communication technology centers is another issue.
